Melanie White Natural Health solutions consultations include a 1 hour initial appointment involving a comprehensive past and current health assessment and investigation, with inital healthcare advise and planning for your long term health goals. The inital appointment also include iridology and nail and tongue investigations. A take home pack is included to get you started on your journey to better health. Following this appoinment Melanie will spend 2 hours of her time researching your health concerns and health goals.

Follow up consultations include 40 minutes of further questioning, investigation and testing to allow for a more specific long-term healthcare protocol to be achieved for you by your naturopath with the aim of effective results.

Once a regime has been established, depending on the individual, a short 20 minute maintenance consultation may be recommeded on a monthly basis.

Acute Consultations include a 20 minute, short appointment for conditions such as colds and infections where a client has already had an initial appointment in the past.

Naturopathy offers a natural, low toxic approach to health concerns and is especially useful where alternative treatments have provided little effect including herbal and nutritional medicine and dietary suggestions. 

Health questionnaires and forms will be emailed and are required to be returned prior to the appointment.

Herbal and nutritional Medicine

In-clinic and laboratory testing is used to determine nutrient deficiencies. Supplementation and dietary suggestions are used to help restore and re-balance.  

Herbal medicine extract plant active ingredients have a therapeutic effect even at minimal doses. Herbal formulas are a combination of specific herbs selected for individual health issues and work effectively and are generally considerably safe if taken as directed. Tell your practitioner about other medications you are taking as well as other vitamins/supplements and allergies present.

Laboratory Testing

Hair Mineral testing:

Hair analysis is an analysis tool, used in conjunction with assessment of symptoms and lifestyle. A sample of hair is taken from the nape of the neck and analyzed to determine exposure to heavy metals, other potentially toxic chemicals and the mineral composition/imbalances of hair. Hair samples can indicate metabolic activity occurring within the body during the period of growth ie 4cm can indicate toxic exposure over the last 8-16 weeks. Blood and serum is not completely representative on the boy's mineral storage due to many variations. Hair testing is used in conjunctions with other laboratory testing.

 

Food Detective:

This in-clinic IgG (immune antibody) test indicates abnormal reaction to foods due to food processing, gastrointestinal integrity, and genetic influences. Food intolerance rather than food allergies are shown.
